Golaghat Engineering College 75 kW, Hybrid Solar PV (2026)

A 75 kW rooftop solar power project is being implemented at Golaghat Engineering College, Narakanwar, Assam, to promote clean and sustainable energy use within the institution. The project utilizes the available rooftop space for solar PV installation, helping the college reduce its dependence on grid electricity and lower long-term electricity costs. The system is supported by a battery-based energy storage and backup arrangement, enhancing power reliability for essential institutional loads. The project demonstrates the practical application of renewable energy in educational institutions, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and a more sustainable campus.

Arunachal Pradesh 393 Health Centres

Solarisation of 393 Health Centres Across Arunachal Pradesh A large-scale initiative to solarise 393 health centres across Arunachal Pradesh, bringing clean, reliable and decentralized energy to healthcare facilities, particularly in remote and underserved communities. Solar power has ensured more dependable electricity for essential healthcare services, including lighting, medical equipment, vaccine and medicine storage, communication systems and other critical loads. For local communities, reliable power at health centres means better access to healthcare closer to home, improved conditions for patients and healthcare workers, and greater continuity of services during grid outages or power disruptions. The project is helping strengthen rural healthcare infrastructure and community resilience, reducing dependence on unreliable grid supply and enabling health centres to remain operational when people need them most. By replacing or reducing conventional electricity use with renewable energy, the initiative also contributes to lower operating costs, reduced carbon emissions and a more sustainable healthcare system across the state.
